This small Parish Council in Staffordshire, through its local parish councillors and clerk, administers its modest annual budget in the interests of the local inhabitants of Forton, Sutton and Meretown. It meets quarterly in Forton Parish Rooms and members of the public are encouraged to attend. Other occasional meetings may be called to discuss planning and other issues when a rapid responses is required, these too are open to the public. The dates of all meetings are published on this website as well as the three noticeboards, one each in Sutton, Forton and Meretown.
COVID-19: We are now holding real meetings again in the Parish Rooms. However; we endeavour to maintain social distancing and encourage the use of masks in order to minimise the risk of infection. Parishioners are still encouraged to attend provided you are content to follow these guidelines.
The council will again have a modest amount of money available for Grants for the benefit of the parish. Applications don't close until March so do consider whether you have a suitable scheme to qualify.
